Cuisine Guest House Fukushima (Ooi Town)
Cuisine Guest House Fukushima is a guest house located right in front of Wakasa Bay. Inside the inn, there is a billiard table and a bar counter where you can enjoy a drink and spend your time as you wish.
The guest rooms, as well as the observation bath, overlook the ocean, providing a sense of openness and ocean views that is appealing. On sunny days, we recommend spending time relaxing on the terrace while feeling the ocean breeze.
Part of Wakasa Beef Steak Course
Cuisine Guest House Fukushima is committed to using only the finest ingredients. The owner, who is confident in his fishing and connoisseurship, selects ingredients and offers the best seasonal flavors at the best time.
The "Wakasa Beef Steak Course" offers a variety of seasonal seafood as well as brand-name beef. The Wakasa beef used comes with a certificate and weighs 250 to 300 grams per person! The size of the beef is more than the palm of a man's hand, and is overwhelmingly large.
The griddle on which the steaks are grilled is a custom-made item. It is served on a Bizen ware plate.
The sweet fat and juices of the Wakasa beef steak, quickly grilled by the owner's hands, are juicy in the first bite! The meat is so tender that you can feel it melt in your mouth as you bite into it. Steak sauce is available, but we recommend simply savoring it with salt and pepper.
Teppan-yaki is also used to grill squid, Ooi Town's specialty mushrooms, and vegetables. The steak and teppanyaki alone are enough to fill one's stomach to the brim.
The sashimi features seafood from Wakasa, including seared lenkodai, kampachi, amaebi, Fukui salmon, and aori squid*. The seared lenkodai is topped with roasted and powdered yuzu kosho (Japanese citrus pepper), which adds a spicy and savory accent to the dish.
*Content varies depending on the season and availability.
The roast beef salad, the contents of which change depending on the day, is a heaping helping of prosciutto ham, oil sardine, Fukui salmon, and hamo. It is covered with bread crumbs, and the savory flavor is enhanced by roasting it over a burner just before eating.
After a full meal, the garlic rice is also very popular. I can't eat any more! but most people can't stop eating and finish the dish.
The owner says, "Because I like it (laughs)," he always has four to five kinds of craft beer on hand. The taste changes depending on the glass, so he is particular about preparing a glass to match each beer!
There are a total of 17 guest rooms in the main building and the old building. Looking out at the ocean in a quiet space, you will feel your daily fatigue blow away.
As the name suggests, "Cuisine Guest House Fukushima" offers a wide variety of course meals, including a boating course and an iso-steamed course. The ankou-nabe course, available only in winter, is also popular. Guests have commented that the homemade dishes are truly delicious and the cost performance is excellent.
I love meat, fish, and vegetables! I want to enjoy a variety of dishes using seasonal ingredients! This inn will satisfy such wishes.
